The best place to eat one of America's most iconic foods is in the Garden State.

Rutt's Hut in Clifton, N.J. ranked at the top of The Daily Meal's annual list of the nation's best hot dogs.

According to The Daily Meal, the list is created by looking at online reviews from locals, the restaurant's overall reputation and the quality of ingredients.

Rutt's Hut has been serving deep-fried hot dogs since 1928, according to NBC.

"Even if Rutt’s Hut, located in blue-collar Clifton, served their trademark Ripper — a pork-and-beef Thumann’s link that’s deep-fried in beef fat until it rips apart — out of the back of a minivan, it would still be the country’s most delicious hot dog," The Daily Meal reports.

Coney Island Lunch in Scranton, Pa., Katz's Deli in New York City, Superdawg in Chicago and Lafayette Coney Island in Detroit rounded out the top five of the Daily Meal's list.
