Twinsburg, OH

Top 50 rank: 38

Population: 18,636

This town, located near Cleveland and Akron, is perhaps best known for its annual Twins Day festival, which draws sibling pairs from around the world. Lately, though, it's picked up some headlines for the gradually improving job market, due in part to a new Cleveland Clinic Hospital facility and an expansion of a major Verizon Wireless office.

There is some industrial sprawl in the area, but Twinsburg has maintained an impressive 2,000 acres of parks and open space. --H.L.
