Lafayette College

Jul 24, 2014

Though one of the nation’s oldest liberal arts schools, Lafayette College also offers prominent engineering and science programs from which some 30 students are admitted to medical or dental schools each year. In fact, several Lafayette programs team liberal arts majors with engineering, science, or technology students to take on real-world problems. One example: a clinic to improve operations at a local fish farm.

Such cross-disciplinary experience may be one reason that alumni do well in the workforce, reporting salaries averaging $57,600, significantly more than the average reported by graduates of similar institutions even after adjusting for the impact of majors.
