With 20 A-rated schools, low taxes, and five communities for folks age 55 and older, Pembroke Pines is a haven for both retirees and young families. It’s in a prime spot for work—a half-hour commute to both Miami and Fort Lauderdale—as well as play. The Everglades National Park is just an hour to the west, and in under 30 minutes you can be unrolling your blanket on one of Florida’s prime beaches.
While Pembroke Pines has no real city center, no one lacks for shopping; the city contains 8.5 million square feet of retail space.
