Cut to the chase: It’s the first Friday in June, which is celebrated annually as National Donut Day. That means free donuts—lots and lots of free donuts. Here’s how and where to get yours.
Purchase any beverage at any time of day on Friday at participating DD locations and pick the free donut of your choice.
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts
All customers at participating Krispy Kreme stores can select the free donut of their choice on Friday, no purchase necessary.
Big donut giveaways are underway in select cities around the country, including Boston; Buffalo; Columbus, Ohio; Chicago; Wilmington, Del.; and New York City. At the latter, Entenmann’s will give away 40,000 free donuts and free coffee to all comers from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Madison Square Park.
Fractured Prune Doughnuts
Customers at participating locations get one free OC Sand donut (honey glaze with cinnamon sugar) on Friday, no purchase necessary.
Honey Dew Donuts
With the purchase of any medium drink on Friday, customers can help themselves to a free Mocha Madness donut, a creation “topped with a creamy mocha frosting and chocolate drizzle.”
From 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Friday, customers get a free donut with the purchase of a beverage. Cumberland Farms is a convenient store chain with locations in the Northeast and Florida, and roughly half are participating–the half that have been recently remodeled and include an area for freshly baked goods, like donuts.
At this chain based in Colorado, with locations in six states in the Midwest and the Rockies, the National Donut Day promotion is one free donut per customer, any flavor, no purchase necessary.
From 5 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday, participating Shipley Do-Nuts locations—clustered mostly between Kentucky and Texas—are giving away one free glazed donut per customer, no purchase required.
In the metro areas of three spots around the U.S.—Philadelphia, Houston, and Florence, S.C.—Jiffy Lubes are offering free tire pressure checks in addition to free donuts all day long.
