After spending the majority of her adult life in the Marine Corps, Priscilla Juan struggled with the sedentary lifestyle of a civilian.

That was until she found the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), an organization that supports and empowers post-9/11 veterans. “I feel like now that I have employment…I feel so connected to the mission,” says Juan.

It’s not every day that a veteran is able to continue their mission beyond the battlefield, especially one as honorable as Juan’s. Here’s her story.
