We didn’t need the Centers for Disease Control to tell us, but they did anyway: “Insufficient Sleep a Public Health Problem.” That was the headline on a CDC news release in September, followed by the eye-opening fact that more than one-third of adults reported being so tired that they’d unintentionally fallen asleep at least once in the last month. Even scarier: almost 6 percent of all men and 3.5 percent of women had nodded off while driving in the last month.

Which made us wonder: are those folks who are driving when they’re too tired hauling themselves off to work? The CDC found that 23% of people sometimes found themselves too tired to concentrate, while more than 10% said they regularly have trouble “taking care of financial affairs” because they are sleep-deprived. So how about you: does lack of sleep ever interfere with your work life?
