When you graduate from high school or college, you take with you a plethora of knowledge, experience and a diploma. It used to be that you highlighted these things on a resume. Now, however, colleges and even some high schools are getting better at showcasing what makes you unique, says Matt Pittinsky, CEO of electronic transcript company Parchment. The new college transcript is now more comprehensive because it allows students to more extensively define what they've done at school. Instead of just listing classes and skills you've honed, you can now show off extracurricular activities like fraternities, sororities, and student clubs.
