Jane Bryant Quinn

Legendary personal finance journalist Jane Bryant Quinn, author of How to Make Your Money Last: The Indispensable Retirement Guide, has some advice for you if you haven't saved enough money to retire comfortably. One important point she makes is that, among married couples, often when one spouse gets sick and is no longer able to work, the other spouse will quit his or her job to take care of the one who is sick. But a better option, she says, is for the healthy spouse to keep working and to hire help to care for the sick one. That way, there's still a paycheck coming in.
