If you're looking to make the most of your air travel, you may want to start booking JetBlue.

The airline's TrueBlue rewards program topped J.D. Power's 2017 Airline Loyalty Program Satisfaction Study, which was released Wednesday and highlights the airline loyalty programs that customers feel go above and beyond the competition.

According to the study, customers want a miles program that allows them to use rewards outside the airport, in places such as restaurants, retail stores, and car rental centers. “Flexibility in how miles are redeemed is valued by members," J.D. Power Travel Practice Lead Michael Taylor says in a statement. "After all, if you win a pie-eating contest, you may want to be rewarded with something besides another pie.”

Customers also care about getting quality rewards, such as guaranteed low prices and flexible change policies; good account management; and solid communication between the airline and its members, according to J.D. Power.

JetBlue's TrueBlue program, which was followed in the study's rankings by Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan and Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards, comes with perks including reservation flexibility, family plans and non-expiring points. It also allows customers to earn points and save on services through partner hotels, car rental agencies, ride-sharing services, and more.
