Krispy Kreme Doughnuts is celebrating its birthday on Friday, July 27, by giving a sweet present to customers.

At participating locations around the country, you can get a dozen doughnuts for just $1 when you purchase a dozen doughnuts at regular price. (The vast majority of Krispy Kreme locations are participating, but you may want to call ahead to your local shop and double check that you can get the $1 birthday deal.)

All you have to do to get the Krispy Kreme deal is visit a participating shop on Friday and order two dozen doughnuts — one of which will cost only $1. No coupon or rewards membership is required.

NBA legend and national treasure Shaquille O'Neal, who owns a Krispy Kreme Doughnuts shop in Atlanta, has been helping out the brand nationwide by hyping the $1 dozen donut deal on social media:

Krispy Kreme is also celebrating its birthday with a special new menu item: the glazed confetti doughnut. It's appropriately festive inside and out, with rainbow sprinkles on top and a colorful mix of flavors inside.
