There is a universal disapproval of the online shopping shipping charge, especially during the holiday season. Lisa Lee Freeman, shopping and consumer expert, knows how to get your gifts sent for free, that’s right for free.

Check for shipping deals online. Check out websites, such as freeshipping.org and Retail Me Not, to find out which stores are offering shipping deals throughout the holiday season. These deals range from discounted to free shipping.

Try ship-to-store options. Use the ship-to-store option to avoid waiting in long check-out lines. A number of retailers, including Walmart, REI, and Kohls, offer this service.

Sign up for a shipping service. Online retailers, such as Amazon, offer shipping services. By signing up for Prime membership you’ll get a free 30 day trial, which includes 2-day shipping. Make sure to cancel after the 30 days to avoid a $90 fee.

Shop on December 18th. Take advantage of this year’s free shipping day, which falls on December 18th. Hundreds of major retailers will offer free shipping on every order, with no minimum requirements. All orders are due to arrive by Christmas Eve.

Happy shopping!
