Amazon Is Having a Massive Toy Sale Today. Here Are 20 of the Best Deals

Even if you've already checked the big-ticket items off your holiday shopping list, it's worth checking out Amazon's big one-day sale on toys happening right now.

That's because the majority of Amazon deals available today focus on the lower end of the toy market—with dozens of options on sale for under $20, and some for less than $5.

Amazon is in the middle of a "12 Days of Deals" promotion, in which each day features a new category of deeply discounted items. Wednesday's category is toys, many of which are discounted by more than 50% off the list price. We've gathered a list of 20 different toys below, all on sale today for under $20 each.

Before shopping, be warned: As always, in many cases, Amazon competitors like Target, Walmart, and Toys R Us have prices that match (or come close to) Amazon's prices. Also, take the "list price" shown by Amazon with a grain of salt. In many cases, the "list price" or "original price" is horribly inflated in order to make the inevitable discounts seems all the more impressive.

Virtually all retailers are guilty of this practice, but Amazon can sometimes especially go overboard. For example, Amazon says the list price for the Disney Beauty & the Beast Live Action Enchanted Rose Jewelry Box is $39.99. It's on sale today for only $8.96, which sounds like an amazing deal. When we looked around, however, the same jewelry box is listed right now at a non-sale price of $13.99 at Target. The takeaway is that today's deal at Amazon is indeed a deal—just not quite the insanely awesome deal it appears to be at first glance.
