Between 2024 and 2030, an estimated 30.4 million boomers will reach retirement age. If you're planning to retire in 2027 and file for Social Security benefits, complementing that income with reliable dividend-paying stocks can help shore up your budget.

The following three stocks have a reputation for paying shareholders growing dividends, meaning investors can look forward to steady increases to their yields year after year. Together or alone, these stocks can serve as the foundation of a yield-focused portfolio that can supplement Social Security throughout your second act.

## More than 140 years later, Coca-Cola is still going strong

Coca-Cola (NYSE: KO) is known for its iconic [Super Bowl ads](https://money.com/online-sports-betting-stock-market/) and being [Warren Buffett's](https://money.com/warren-buffett-money-tips-anyone-can-use/) favorite beverage. But it also has a reputation for being one of the most reliable dividend-payers on the market. The company belongs to the exclusive Dividend Kings club, which only includes stocks that have raised their dividend payouts for 50 consecutive years.

The Atlanta-based soft drink maker's streak of increasing its dividend is up to 64 years, and shares yield 2.3%, or 53 cents per share each quarter.

Despite belonging to the consumer staples sector — which has a reputation for slow and steady gains alongside dividend payments — Coca-Cola has behaved more like a growth stock in 2026 thanks to surging demand in international markets, including China, Brazil, India and Mexico. This year, shares of KO have outperformed the S&P 500 by nearly 3x.

On Oct. 27, Coca-Cola reported its third-quarter results, beating earnings expectations for the seventh consecutive quarter and the 26th time in the past 28 quarters dating back to the first quarter of 2020. Its annualized, five-year dividend growth rate stands at 4.46%, meaning that alongside strong share appreciation potential, investors are likely to continue seeing dividend increases on a yearly basis.

## This Dividend King has increased its dividends for 57 straight years

More than two decades have passed since Philip Morris changed its name to Altria Group (NYSE: MO), but the company didn't let its rebranding disrupt its run of dividend hikes. The consumer products firm — which focuses primarily on tobacco, nicotine and electronic vaping products — has increased its payout for 57 consecutive years, placing it firmly in the vaunted Dividend Kings club alongside Coca-Cola.

Altria is renowned among dividend investors for its yield. But its stock has also outperformed the S&P 500 this year, more than doubling the benchmark's gain.

Because of that, shareholders have been able to enjoy a dividend that yields 6.05%, or $1.11 per share each quarter, while their shares have steadily increased in value. Its annualized, five-year dividend growth rate is 4.12%.

The successes of on! nicotine pouches and NJOY vape kits have buoyed the company as it leans into growing trends. According to industry consultancy firm Grand View Research, the [global e-cigarette and vape market](https://www.grandviewresearch.com/industry-analysis/smokeless-cigarettes-market-report) is forecast to undergo a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 16% through 2030.

## As the housing market suffers, Home Depot is a buy-low opportunity

Between [higher interest rates](https://money.com/fed-rate-hike-effects-september-2026/), a [frozen housing market](https://money.com/2026-housing-market-affordability-challenges/) and waning consumer sentiment, home improvement retailers have borne the brunt of a lopsided U.S. economy. Home Depot (NYSE: HD) is no exception. The stock has not only lagged the S&P 500 in 2026, but it has posted a year-to-date loss.

But that underperformance means that shares of the big-box hardware chain are trading at a discount. At the same time, the company has continued to increase its dividend annually, with a streak that has reached 17 consecutive years.

The stock yields 2.93%, or $2.33 per share quarterly, while its annualized, five-year dividend growth rate is 8.92%. That, in part, has contributed to Home Depot being the [highest-returning stock over the past 45 years](https://businessmodelanalyst.com/home-depot-45-year-return-share-count-denominator/).

While [high mortgage rates](https://money.com/current-mortgage-rates/) and slow housing turnover continue to weigh on Americans' abilities to take on big-ticket home renovations, homeowners still need to address small repairs and maintenance needs. Additionally, contractors still turn to Home Depot for supplies, providing support for shares of HD even while consumer demand remains cloudy.

Year over year, the company has still managed to increase revenue by nearly 6%. As the stock tries to work its way back into the green, it pays shareholders for their patience.
