Are you ready to return to the 90210?

The cast of the '90s teen soap *Beverly Hills, 90210* is back for another round in *BH90210*, which reunites the stars as they try to get a reboot off the ground. The six-episode Fox show kicks off Wednesday at 9 p.m. EDT.

The original *Beverly Hills, 90210* followed the Walsh twins after they moved from dull Minnesota to glamorous — and expensive — California. But what has happened in the actors' financial lives since then? Who is the richest *BH90210* actor now? Is Tori Spelling OK?

Read on for the answers to those questions and more.

## Tori Spelling

Spelling's finances are a Donna Martin-style disaster. When her dad, Aaron Spelling, died in 2006, he [reportedly](https://www.latimes.com/entertainment/la-xpm-2013-oct-25-la-et-mg-tori-spelling-broke-dean-mcdermott-20131025-story.html) only left her $800,000 of his $600 million. In 2012, she and husband Dean McDermott took out a $400,000 loan that they promptly [stopped paying back](https://www.eonline.com/news/817359/city-national-bank-sues-tori-spelling-and-dean-mcdermott-for-200-000-debt). In 2014, her mom [told the *New York Times*](https://www.nytimes.com/2014/06/26/fashion/Candy-Spelling-Is-Producing-Again.html) that Spelling had "crazy" spending habits where "she would close a store and drop $50,000 to $60,000.” In 2016, [E! News reported](https://www.eonline.com/news/732413/tori-spelling-sued-by-american-express-for-failing-to-pay-38-000-in-credit-card-debt) that American Express was suing her for not paying a nearly $38,000 credit card bill.

That's on top of a [tax lien](https://people.com/celebrity/tori-spelling-and-dean-mcdermott-owe-259000-in-unpaid-taxes/) and inability to afford a [vasectomy](https://www.today.com/popculture/tori-spelling-we-cant-afford-vasectomy-8C11462018) and so much more. According to [Celebrity Net Worth](https://www.celebritynetworth.com/richest-celebrities/actors/tori-spelling-net-worth/), which [relies on](https://www.nytimes.com/2018/09/19/style/richest-celebrities-in-hollywood.html) public records and news reports to generate its estimates, she's worth $500,000.

"It's no mystery why I have money problems. I grew up rich beyond anyone's wildest dreams," Spelling wrote in a 2013 memoir. "I never knew anything else. Even when I try to embrace a simpler lifestyle, I can't seem to let go of my expensive tastes. Even when my tastes aren't fancy, they're still costly. I moved houses to simplify my life, but lost almost a million dollars along the way."

In fact, Spelling's empty bank account is the [motivation](https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/tori-spelling-talks-bh90210-mocking-her-financial-woes/) for the *Beverly Hills, 90210* cast to reunite in *BH90210*. But [*Us Weekly* reported](https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/tori-spelling-shuts-down-rosanna-scotto-over-finance-questions/) she snapped at a TV anchor recently who brought up her money problems, saying, "Am I able to pay my bills? Yeah, thank you. I am."

## Gabrielle Carteris

Carteris, who played Andrea Zuckerman, was a big deal when she was on *Beverly Hills, 90210*: "I ate with royalty; I flew on private jets; I was mobbed in every country we visited," she [once said](https://www.sarahlawrence.edu/magazine/all-of-the-above/features/a-union-of-talents.html) at a Sarah Lawrence College conference.

Today, she's still turning heads as the president of the SAG-AFTRA trade union, which represents 160,000 media and entertainment workers. She's been involved in everything from the [push](https://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/31/us/california-today-gabrielle-carteris-sag-strike.html) for anti-age discrimination laws to pay [disputes](https://www.npr.org/sections/alltechconsidered/2016/10/22/498954253/voice-actors-strike-against-video-game-companies) over video-game voice actors, and she's [currently](https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/business/story/2019-07-24/four-people-will-run-against-incumbent-gabrielle-carteris-for-sag-aftra-president) in an **[contentious](https://variety.com/2019/digital/news/sag-aftra-president-gabrielle-carteris-election-violations-1203283897/)** campaign for re-election. Carteris' [net worth](https://www.celebritynetworth.com/richest-celebrities/actors/gabrielle-carteris-net-worth/) is an estimated $3 million.

## Brian Austin Green

This actor underwent the glow-up of all glow-ups between playing David Silver on *Beverly Hills, 90210* and marrying actress Megan Fox in 2010. His net worth is now $4 million, [according to Celebrity Net Worth](https://www.celebritynetworth.com/richest-celebrities/actors/brian-austin-green-net-worth/).

"When I started doing *90210*, my dad was my manager, and my mother was my business manager. So they made really good money because I was making good money," Austin [told *AARP The Magazine*](https://www.aarp.org/entertainment/television/info-2019/brian-austin-green-on-the-new-90210.html) recently. "\[Now\] the house is paid off. They have money in the bank. They are really blessed that way."

That said, he's had a rocky relationship with money and love. Green filed a [lawsuit](https://www.tmz.com/2012/01/13/brian-austin-green-lawsuit-vanessa-marcil/#.TxD-LG9SRuw) in 2012 [demanding](https://www.reuters.com/article/us-brianaustingreen/brian-austin-green-sues-ex-wants-his-200k-back-idUSTRE80D07S20120114) his ex-wife, Vanessa Marcil, pay him back $200,000 he loaned her during their relationship. (It was later tossed out.) When he and Fox started the divorce process in 2015, he [rented](https://variety.com/2015/dirt/real-estalker/brian-austin-green-rents-a-bel-air-bachelor-pad-1201576833/) a $22,000-a-month bachelor pad. They then sold two of their [houses](https://www.latimes.com/business/realestate/hot-property/la-fi-hotprop-20160207-story.html) for $2.6 million and $1.25 million. (Fox and Green later decided to stay together.)

## Jennie Garth

Garth may have played the rich and popular Kelly Taylor in the show, but in real life she was shocked by her salary.

"Being on a successful television series like *Beverly Hills, 90210* seems like a dream come true, right? In so many ways, it truly is," Garth wrote in her 2014 memoir *Deep Thoughts From a Hollywood Blonde*. "First of all, it really is good money — money on a level that I just didn't understand when I was a teenager. But I did understand that it took a ton of financial pressure off of my family, and this felt good. All of a sudden I was able to buy things for the people I loved, to send presents and treat people to dinners. I was able to support myself and become financially independent at a young age."

After the show ended, Garth went on to star in a handful of TV movies and shows. Her most notable appearances included *What I Like About* You, which also featured Amanda Bynes, and *90210*, a spinoff in which she played a guidance counselor. She's worth about $8 million, according to [Celebrity Net Worth](https://www.celebritynetworth.com/richest-celebrities/actors/jennie-garth-net-worth/).

Most of what the public knows about Garth's finances comes from divorce papers. When she finalized her split from Peter Facinelli in 2013, [TMZ reported](https://www.tmz.com/2013/06/12/jennie-garth-peter-facinelli-divorce-final/) Garth and her ex had agreed to share a bank account for their three kids. When she filed for divorce from Dave Abrams in 2018, the actress [mentioned](https://people.com/tv/jennie-garth-wants-court-deny-dave-abrams-spousal-support/) that he'd signed a prenuptial agreement. (They [called off](https://www.etonline.com/jennie-garths-husband-dave-abrams-requests-petition-to-dismiss-divorce-119209) the divorce in February.)

Garth is a real estate maven, having [recently sold](https://www.latimes.com/business/realestate/hot-property/la-fi-hotprop-jennie-garth-studio-city-home-sold-20180913-story.html) her house for $4.4775 million. Due to her extensive renovations, it has a hanging fireplace, marble countertops, five bedrooms, a rock-climbing wall, monkey bars, a koi pond and a pool. She turned a huge profit: Garth originally bought the [home](https://www.today.com/home/jennie-garth-s-los-angeles-home-sale-4-495-million-t135040) for just $2 million.

She also sells a [Mom Gift Box](https://thegiftbox.com/limited-edition-mom-gift-box-2-2-2/) through QVC. For $99.99, customers get "a heart bracelet filled with sand, a beach-inspired candle, two clay masks, a cleansing puff, and a collapsible tote bag" — all curated by Garth.

## Ian Ziering

This Steve Sanders actor has sharks to thank for his post-*Beverly Hills, 90210* windfall. Ziering plays Fin Shepard in the *Sharknado* series, which is both ridiculous and a crazy moneymaker: [According to *The Hollywood Reporter*](https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/features/how-sharknado-casts-c-listers-landed-trump-as-president-1025676), he took home $500,000 for *Sharknado 5*.

But he wasn't always on board with the project. In fact, his finances motivated him to accept the role.

"As an actor I get my insurance from the Screen Actor's Guild by union, and you have to make so much every year to get that type 1 insurance," he [told ABC News](https://abcnews.go.com/blogs/entertainment/2013/12/surprising-selfless-reason-why-ian-ziering-did-sharknado/) in 2013. "Halfway through the script, I said to my wife, 'Honey, I don't know about this.' She didn't miss a beat, she said, 'Look, you're going to have two babies \[by\] this spring, you need to go to work."

Over the years, Ziering has also launched a short-lived travel [site](https://www.mcall.com/la-tr-webbuzz-20160228-story.html) called CelebrityHideaways.com, appeared on *[The Celebrity Apprentice](https://people.com/tv/donald-trump-ian-ziering-shares-lessons-from-his-celebrity-apprentice-boss/)*, started a clothing line named [Chainsaw Brands](https://www.pr.com/press-release/664831), competed on *Dancing With the Stars*, performed at [Chippendales](https://people.com/bodies/ian-zierings-chippendales-debut/) and dabbled in selling [skin care products](https://www.totalbeauty.com/news/skin-care/anti-aging-skin-care/ian-zierings-new-career-selling-nuskin). His speaker [fees](https://www.celebrityspeakersbureau.com/talent/ian-ziering/) range from $20,000 to $50,000. Ziering is on [LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/in/ian-ziering-56268a4b/) and also runs a [blog](http://athomewiththezierings.com/) with his wife, Erin.

All of those ventures add up: According to [Celebrity Net Worth](https://www.celebritynetworth.com/richest-celebrities/actors/ian-ziering-net-worth/), Ziering's net worth is $8 million.

## Shannen Doherty

Doherty left her role as Brenda Walsh on *Beverly Hills, 90210* after the fourth season due to a whole lot of drama (lateness, attitude, fighting with other cast members — the works). In a 1993 [*Entertainment Weekly* article](https://ew.com/article/1993/04/23/shannen-doherty-image-rx/), Doherty also confessed to some less-than-stellar money habits, like having a reported $36,000 in debt at age 22.

"I’m really fed up with people printing how much I make, especially when they get it wrong," said Doherty, [an avowed fan](https://www.huffpost.com/entry/shannen-dohertys-recessio_b_192376?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAANGq8zeVyzpO-vKPVz0H8VoUyXOu5InhXPjYHb2NVoqa3p4z6zhL5mi4dpp97ptgE8SkntVi9bjIMMVjBPYhi-UTLdjvUejgsPM7w7CO4IdybN9RxXGpbJJwGZ0RXeOzW-2X0MRBrj9Cud9kh2336F9EXoxWN5w0ZFN9xOco9CXh) of Ronald Reagan's trickle-down theory. ”I do not make $12,000 a week. I make a lot more money than $12,000 a week. But I’m in the highest tax bracket, and I have, you know, attorneys to pay for. And, granted, I have gone on shopping binges. When you’re young and all you know is how much money you make a week, you don’t necessarily start thinking about, you know, everything that comes out of it."

In recent years, Doherty has struggled with both her health and finances. In 2015, Doherty [sued](https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/thr-esq/shannen-doherty-reveals-breast-cancer-816295) a management firm firm for allegedly mismanaging her money, causing her to become [uninsured](https://www.nbcnewyork.com/entertainment/the-scene/Shannen-Doherty-Breast-Cancer-Lawsuit-90210-322316972.html). Once she got her insurance back, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. The actress later [settled](http://www.spokesman.com/stories/2016/aug/22/shannen-doherty-settles-with-ex-managers-she-said-/) with the accountants.

Earlier this year, she [sued](https://variety.com/2019/biz/news/shannen-doherty-woolsey-fire-lawsuit-1203133842/) State Farm for not paying a $1.4 million claim on her house, which she said was damaged by wildfires in California.

Doherty comes in second place in these rankings because her [net worth](https://www.celebritynetworth.com/richest-celebrities/actors/shannen-doherty-net-worth/) is $10 million. Now in remission, she's planning to return to work.

"I went through cancer and was methodical in putting a team together and in the decisions I made. That’s how I’m looking at my career now," she told *Health* earlier this year. "I’ve always been like, 'I just need to work and make money.' I didn’t ever choose with strategy, and now I’m a little more strategic."

## Jason Priestley

Much of *Beverly Hills, 90210* revolves around Brandon Walsh, so it makes sense that Priestley is the No. 1 earner to come out of the series. But his [reported net worth](https://www.celebritynetworth.com/richest-celebrities/actors/jason-priestley-net-worth/) of $16 million isn't all from show business. In addition to appearing in a Britney Spears [music video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s25OMP4Ww6Y), starring in the show *Call Me Fitz* and directing a documentary about the Barenaked Ladies, Priestley had a stint in racecar driving.

"It was another career; I got paid to race," he [told the *Sydney Morning Herald*](https://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/celebrity/jason-priestleys-miracle-comeback-20120227-1txb1.html) in 2012. "I raced all around the world, and I stood on a lot of podiums and sprayed a lot of champagne."

However, it was risky: In 2002, Priestley was [seriously injured](https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/lifestyle/2002/08/12/actor-jason-priestley-seriously-hurt-in-crash/3e18c696-fc68-46c2-8b58-78489b2aaaba/) in a crash at the Kentucky Speedway that left him with head and back injuries. (He later retired from the sport.)

Priestley sold his $2.14 million [house](https://www.forbes.com/sites/trulia/2014/05/09/90210-actor-jason-priestley-sells-his-toluca-lake-home-at-a-loss/#652ba2606027) at a loss in 2014, the same year he released a memoir. While promoting the book, he [told Access Hollywood](https://www.accessonline.com/articles/jason-priestley-talks-90210-hookups-paying-back-holly-robinson-peete-getting-a-bible-from-brad-pitt-147379) about a money memory involving his ex-girlfriend Holly Robinson Peete.

“I was broke. I was young, a struggling actor back then, and she was living a life that was in a different stratosphere than I was," Priestley said. "I was keeping track of all the money I owed her because she liked to roll in a different class of a travel and life than I could really afford. It wasn’t long after that that I got my first show… and when I could afford to pay her back, I did. I sent her a check. It was for like $7,500 or something like that. My parents raised me up right."
