And, yes, it comes with its own baseball diamond. The 21,890-square-foot Reisterstown home, which will be auctioned to the highest bidder May 12, boasts a large kitchen, home theater and finished basement. The biggest draws, however, are the Baseball Hall of Famer's personal athletic facilities. The property's full-size baseball diamond was built specifically so Ripken could practice, says Daniel DeCaro, president of the auction company handling the sale. While that feature may come as no surprise -- the former Baltimore Orioles shortstop [built 50 inner-city baseball fields in five years](https://www.si.com/mlb/2015/09/28/cal-ripken-jr-baseball-field-foundation) following his retirement -- the estate also boasts a full-size indoor basketball court, pool and home gym, according to [its listing](http://www.decaroauctions.com/cal-ripken-jr-estate/). Photos from [a previous listing](https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/13301-Dover-Rd-Reisterstown-MD-21136/2097035057_zpid/) also show an enclosed batting cage area. The home came to DeCaro Auctions International after a year on the market. The estate was first listed for $12 million in September 2016 and dropped to $9.75 million in April 2017, records show, before it was removed from market in August.
