The most expensive cup of coffee in the U.S. can now be found in New York City and it'll cost you [$18.](http://ny.eater.com/2017/2/6/14520430/nyc-most-expensive-coffee)

The pricey java is available at Extraction Lab, a new shop located in the Industry City complex of Brooklyn's Sunset Park neighborhood. Extraction Lab serves as the headquarters of craft coffee brewer Alpha Dominche, which uses [steam and computer-powered vacuums](https://www.nytimes.com/2017/01/30/dining/coffeemaker-extraction-lab-alpha-dominche-brooklyn.html) to produce a brand of high-end coffee dubbed "Steampunk."

The previous holder of the title was [San Francisco's Blue Bottle](http://sf.eater.com/2016/6/10/11907070/blue-bottle-16-dollar-coffee-san-francisco), which sells a cup for $16.
