CVS Caremark Corp Announce Earnings

It has long seemed as though CVS had a policy that required customers to leave with a receipt no shorter than their height. But after years of having to roll up your receipts like toilet paper or scrolls of papyrus, CVS is now letting its ExtraCare Rewards members use digital receipts.

Launching in June at all 7,900 CVS locations, users can opt-out of the paper version and receive all subsequent digital receipts digitally through the CVS app by asking the person at the register. The coupons, of course, aren't going away, they will simply be applied digitally. According to Chain Store Age, you can simply send the coupon to your ExtraCare Rewards card.

The news was announced by none other than Jimmy Kimmel, who has been a long-time critic of the Finnegan's Wake-esque receipts.
