**Due Date: December 4, 2015**

The [Elks National Foundation awards](http://www.elks.org/enf/scholars/mvs.cfm) 500 four-year scholarships a year, ranging anywhere from $4,000 to $50,000. You don’t have to be related to a member of the Elks, but you do have to provide test scores and write an essay of no more than 500 words.

**Award Breakdown:**

-   20 finalists will head to Chicago to compete for two first-place awards of $50,00, two second-place awards of $40,000; and two third-place awards of $30,000
-   The remaining 14 finalists will receive awards of $20,000
-   480 runners-up will receive fifth-place scholarships of $4,000
