One of the year's most heavily anticipated days devoted to giving away free stuff is almost here. National Donut Day, the food holiday featuring free doughnuts at shops all over the country, arrives on the first Friday of every June.
The big day is Friday, June 2, this year, and the biggest name in doughnuts has already announced its special giveaway. Like last year, Dunkin' Donuts is celebrating National Doughnut Day by giving one free doughnut per customer with the purchase of any beverage.
Guests can select any kind of doughnut (or, as the chain calls it, donut) they like. The offer is valid at all participating Dunkin' Donuts locations nationwide, throughout the entire day on Friday, June 2.
Dunkin' competitor Krispy Kreme has also announced its National Doughnut Day deal for 2017, offering each customer a choice of any free donut, no purchase required, at participating locations on Friday, June 2.
