Have a retirement plan. Sit down with an adviser or planner and come up with a savings plan that take your retirement needs into account, particularly your healthcare. Learn about Medicare and Medicaid.

Reestablish social relationships. Get to know your friends again, take more trips with your spouse, and just get to know the people around you again.

Find savvy ways to save. Manage your expenses, and find volunteer opportunities. Some volunteer in a local theatre or at the local golf course in exchange for free rounds or free show tickets. Find ways around paying for expensive hobbies if at all possible.
