Before McDonald's introduced all-day breakfast last year, "Having breakfast available after 10:30 a.m. was the number one request from consumers," the company said in a press release [announcing](http://news.mcdonalds.com/US/news-stories/2016/McDonald-s-USA-Expands-its-Popular-All-Day-Breakfa) some upgrades to its all-day breakfast offerings that will go into effect in September. Historically, McDonald's had maintained that it would be too hard for its restaurants to juggle all-day breakfast on top of its regular menu during the day. Last October, though, it finally bowed to customer demand and rolled out a limited all-day breakfast menu. The fast food giant's [same-store sales rose](https://money.com/death-of-cool-equities/) dramatically, reversing the company's slow decline and sending shockwaves through the fast-food industry. But customers wanted still more. The new menu changes tackle a couple of their biggest demands. For starters, the updated menu initiates the McGriddle into the all-day breakfast club. In February, McDonald's [began](https://money.com/mcdonalds-mcgriddle-all-day-breakfast-test/) an all-day McGriddle experiment in Tulsa, after receiving complaints from diners who wanted the popular pancake-sandwich all day, and now the McGriddle is going on the all-day breakfast menu nationwide. The other fix is what [*Nation's Restaurant News*](http://nrn.com/food-trends/map-mcdonald-s-all-day-breakfast-pits-muffins-against-biscuits) had previously likened to the Mason-Dixon line: The original all-day breakfast menu had one big regional difference, with McMuffins served in the North and biscuit sandwiches in the South. (One weird outlier was [Florida](https://money.com/mcdonalds-all-day-breakfast/), where muffins rather than biscuits were the rule.) Now, that's changing. "With the new bigger All Day Breakfast menu, breakfast fans will be able to enjoy McMuffin and Biscuit sandwiches," McDonald's said in its release.
