Right where the Atlantic Ocean meets the ritzy Hamptons, there is a sprawling estate that is now the most expensive property on the market in New York with an asking price of $175 million.

The estate, built for the Ford family of Ford Motor Company, sits on a sprawling 42 acres that includes a mansion that is filled with luxurious amenities ranging from its own library to a 60-foot heated pool.

Completely renovated in 2008, the 20,000 square-foot home on the property boasts 12 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms and a large chef's kitchen. The estate, known as Jule Pond, looks out onto a quarter mile of ocean on the coveted (and pricey) Hamptons beach. It has the largest ocean frontage, the length of land that faces the ocean, in the area, according to Bespoke Real Estate, which holds the listing.

Aside from the expansive bed-and-bath offerings, the estate is filled with all kinds of amenities including three ponds, a separate spa, an outdoor kitchen, a basketball court and a tennis court. There is also a three-bedroom Carriage house, greenhouse and a six-car garage on the property.

Located on the shores of Southampton, Jule Pond exceeds the median home price of $3.795 million for oceanfront property, according to estimates from Trulia.

While one of the most expensive properties listed in the U.S. currently, Jule Pond is still cheaper than a Bel-Air estate in California that is currently listed for $350 million. The Chartwell Estate has a larger mansion on its property, though it only sits on 10.3 acres.
