To celebrate the holiday, restaurants are offering waffle coupons, waffle discounts — and even free waffles. Here are some of the best National Waffle Day deals and discounts.

Augustana Care: The senior facility in Minneapolis is offering free waffles from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Aug. 24, no RSVP required.

Boar’s Head: This Charlottesville, Va., resort is hosting Waffle Day specials, like its lunchtime waffle sandwich on Aug. 24.

Capital One 360 Cafe: Visit the San Francisco Financial District cafe on National Waffle Day and enjoy a free waffle from b.street waffles from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Comfort Inn & Suites: The Manheim, Pa., location is treating local heroes like law enforcement and teachers to a free waffle bar on Aug. 24 from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 pm.; the Murrieta, Calif., location is going for a world record for the longest-running waffle station by keeping its kitchen open for 24 hours on National Waffle Day. The event, called “24 on 24” starts at 12 a.m. on Aug. 24.

Denny’s: AARP members can enjoy waffles and other dishes at Denny’s for 15 percent off with their membership.

Iron Roost: The Ballston Spa, N.Y., eatery has a special on chicken and waffles on Wednesdays. This National Waffle Day, pick up free waffle samples from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Jamba Juice: Jamba Juice at the Valley River Center in Eugene, Ore., is selling $1 Sweet Belgian Waffles all day on Aug. 24.

Salvation Army: In Sarasota, Fla., Comfort Suites is making waffles for clients at the Salvation Army Center of Hope for National Waffle Day.
