This week, shoppers can score discounts on a wide range of purchases, including late summer and autumn airfare, clothing, and home goods. All this and more are featured in this week’s roundup of the best bargains.

American Airlines Flights from $38

Believe it or not, you can still plan some affordable summer travel with last minute travel deals kicking into high gear. ShermansTravel discounts select American Airlines flights with prices starting at $38.10. (On the ShermansTravel landing page, click on “AA.com” in the main paragraph to see these fares.) That even matches low cost airlines like Spirit and Frontier Airlines. This price is valid on flights departing from New Orleans, LA, (MSY) with arrival in Dallas, TX, (DFW) on August 23. The sale, valid for travel through November 30, also includes flights to cities such as Chicago, Charleston, Los Angeles, and more.

Clearance Items at Nordstrom Rack from $2

Late August is a great time to grab summer apparel on clearance, as evidenced by this sale from

. The store takes up to 88% off clearance items, with prices starting from only $2.48. Shipping adds $7.95, or get free shipping on orders of $100 or more. Sizes and selection are limited.

Clearance Patio Furniture Sale at Lowe’s

Patio furniture also sees its lowest prices of the year as outdoor season comes to a close. Lowe’s takes up to 50% off a selection of patio furniture and outdoor decor. (The sale banner says up to 50% off, but we found deeper discounts within.) Choose in-store pickup to avoid the $79 truck delivery fee, or bag free shipping on select items. Stock is extremely limited for many items. Deal ends October 28. Some choice discounts, with pickup, include the Garden Treasures 23.6″ x 50″ Patio Bench for $29 ($89 off), and the Garden Treasures Tucker Bend Patio Conversation Chair for $32.50 ($33 off). Note that prices and stock may vary by ZIP code.

Sears Tools Awesome Deals Event

Sears takes up to 50% off a selection of hand tools, power tools, and tool storage during its Tools Awesome Deals Event. Plus, take an extra $5 off select orders of $50 or more via coupon code “SEARS5OFF50” or an extra $35 off select orders of $300 or more via “SEARS35OFF300.” (Many exclusions apply for both coupons, such as Hot Deals.) Opt for in-store pickup where available to dodge shipping charges, which start at around $5. (You can also spend $35 or more to qualify for free shipping, although larger items incur additional shipping fees.)

Amazing bargains pop up at any given moment, so consider signing up for a daily email digest from DealNews to have the best offers sent directly to your inbox.
