Sports is deeply ingrained in the Jones family culture. Steve, 47, played rugby and soccer growing up in Wales. But Siobhan, a 43-year-old teacher, may be the most dedicated of all, frequently shuttling the kids from school to practices to private coaching sessions to games. And while the commitment to soccer has put the family under a lot of financial stress, Siobhan wouldn’t have it any other way.
“They’re doing something good for them,” she explains. “They’re learning life skills that will help them get on in the world.”
