Maybe you missed the boat scoring those mommy-and-me matching Lilly Pulitzer shift dresses or Missoni tumblers when they first debuted (and sold out almost immediately) as part of the incredibly popular Target designer collaborations. Well, you're in luck. Tar-jay believes in second chances.

Starting on Saturday, September 14, Target is bringing back nearly 300 of its most coveted clothes, kitchenware and home decor items from 20 of its most successful designer partnerships for a limited run. We anticipate that the special Target designer sales will pull in enormous crowds to stores and have huge demand online as well. (Like, expect them to sell out immediately.)

Target's 20th anniversary designer collection has preserved the affordability — prices top out at $160, and some items cost as little as $7 — and added inclusivity: In women's apparel, sizes go up to 3X and 22W, and there's no markup for plus sizes.

Celebrity and designer collaborations are practically an obligation for retailers today, but 20 years ago was a different era: When Target collaborated with architect Michael Graves on a line of quirky, mod kitchenware (how could we forget that teakettle?), it was a watershed moment, and its first fashion partnership, with Isaac Mizrahi, set the bar for the cheap-chic aesthetic that has become a fashion phenomenon.

We sifted through the collection to pick out the 15 items you're going to want to snap up as soon as the collection becomes available on Target.com. Remember: Target designer collection items officially go on sale on Saturday, September 14.
