Students often tend to study subjects they're comfortable with, rather than facing a challenge. Salman Khan, founder of the Khan Academy, understands this fear, and has some advice to lift you out of your comfort zone.

Your mindset holds you back from learning. Be willing to try new things. Don't let the idea of failure stand in your way.

Getting answers wrong shows that you're learning. Your neurons connect the most when you get a question wrong. Keep your brain active by challenging yourself.

Having a positive attitude helps you learn. Revel in learning new material, and failing while doing so. Take advantage of college and learn as much as possible.
