The barcode on your airline boarding pass might reveal a lot more of your personal information than you realize, according to a new report: enough data to let someone learn your name, your frequent flier number, your current flight information—even any planned future flights. Mark Murphy, president and CEO of TravAlliance, says airlines are doing their part to protect your data, but by posting your boarding pass on social media you're just going around their protections. If you really must brag before you make it to the beach by posting your boarding pass on social media, at least try to keep the bar code out of the shot.
