Ryan Derda

Ryan P. Derda started his financial journey during 2008’s Great Financial Crisis. Having suffered significant real estate losses, Derda began studying financial markets and soon obtained Series 7 and Series 214 licenses with the help of his financial advisor. At the time, Derda was a professional firefighter and paramedic and ultimately became the go-to “finance guy” within the department. Later, he and his financial advisor joined forces and specialized in helping police, firefighters and teachers who participated in the state’s defined contribution retirement program with advisory services.

After the retirement of Derda’s advisor and partner, he carried the torch, eventually shifting his focus to precious metals: primarily gold and silver. Due to his vast knowledge of markets and monetary history, Derda was promoted to senior precious metals advisor, a title he held for five years during which time he added a Series 3 license. In March 2024, Derda joined American Independence Gold as senior vice president.
