Right now is looking like the perfect time to plan a fall getaway to Europe: There are some incredibly cheap flight deals available from low-cost airlines.

Round-trip tickets to Europe from the U.S. can be booked for less than $300, including all taxes and fees. And that's not only to Reykjavik, Iceland, which has emerged as the continent's low-cost hub, but also Dublin. Meanwhile, airfares are slightly higher — but still very inexpensive in the grand scheme of things — to destinations like London, Paris, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Copenhagen, and Berlin.

Here are all the key details for booking the best airfare deals to Europe this fall, from Icelandair, Norwegian Air, and WOW Air.

Icelandair Flight Deals

Icelandair's latest flight sale offers flights starting at only $299 round trip, inclusive of all mandatory taxes and fees, on departures from October 1 to December 18. Passengers should expect a stopover in Reykjavik on flights to and from anywhere in the Europe on Icelandair. Tickets must be booked by midnight on Sunday, July 22. Here's a sampling of the flight deals:

• New York (JFK or Newark) to Reykjavik: $299
• New York (JFK or Newark) to Helsinki: $339
• Dallas to Copenhagen: $349
• Washington (Dulles) to Reykjavik: $349
• Chicago to Reykjavik: $369
• Baltimore to Amsterdam: $399
• Cleveland to Paris: $399
• Chicago to Stockholm: $439

WOW Air Flight Deals

Like Icelandair, WOW Air is based in Iceland and transatlantic flights make regular stopovers in Reykjavik. While availability at WOW's lowest prices is very limited, in some cases flights are even cheaper than Icelandair's new sale prices. Here are some of the WOW Air deals we found available on round trips this fall, with all mandatory taxes, fees, and surcharges included:

• Baltimore to Reykjavik: $230
• Detroit to Reykjavik: $230
• New York (JFK) to Reykjavik: $250
• Chicago to Amsterdam: $320

Norwegian Air Flight Deals

Norwegian Air is different from Icelandair and WOW in that it skips the hub system and instead has a bunch of different nonstop transatlantic routes. In other words, you probably won't have to deal with a stopover when flying Norwegian.

The airline hasn't launched any official new flight sale, per se, but it has some amazingly cheap deals at the moment. We were able to find round-trip flight prices like the following, for select departure dates in October, November, and December:

• Providence to Dublin: $282
• Newark to Paris (Charles de Gaulle): $350
• Boston to London (Gatwick): $360
• Oakland to Barcelona: $375
• Chicago to London (Gatwick): $380

For all of the airfare deals cited above, availability is limited and prices can change at any time. Try to be flexible with travel dates if you want to get the cheapest airfare possible. Also, travelers can assume that flights at these prices come with the bare minimum in terms of amenities and services. Expect to encounter at least some extra fees, including charges for things like checked baggage, seat reservations, and such.
