Millennial women need to know a few important things about money, says CNN chief business correspondent Christine Romans. "They bring more to the financial table at work and in their relationships than any generation before them," says Romans. They should be ready to talk about money issues with a potential partner much earlier than they might have once thought, she says. Having a conversation with a romantic partner about money is not a pleasant experience, but it's important to remember, in Romans' words, that it's "not crass and not materialistic." Women need to protect themselves, she says; at work, "Women need to suss out the negotiation tactics around them."
