Amazon is offering a one-day discount of $8.62 off of any purchase worth $50 or more to celebrate an 86.27 score on a recent poll ranking the company's reputation.

Customers can receive the discount if they enter the code BIGTHANKS on the website, Business Insider reports.

The company is using the discount to thank customers after it came top of the Harris Poll of Corporate Reputation, which ranks the 100 most visible companies in the USA by reputation. Amazon's score was a record high in the 18-year history of the poll.

The company beat stiff competition from the likes of Apple, whilst Samsung's chances were hurt by its recall of the Galaxy Note 7 last year.
