Writing the college admissions essay does not have to be hard. Admissions personnel from Bucknell University and Cornell University, along with the co-founder of [WOW Writing Workshop](https://www.wowwritingworkshop.com/), say that what makes a great college essay is the story that is told by the student. Using simple, everyday language, picking a narrative that shows off who you are as a person and clearly highlighting certain aspects of your personality are what admissions counselors are looking for. And they stress the importance of having someone you trust give you honest, constructive feedback before sending off the essay to the college of your choice.
