In honor of Father's Day, several employees here at Money sat down to share some of the financial advice that their dads have passed along to them.

Matt, one of our editors, shares that his dad always told him to live within his means. "He always encouraged me to negotiate my salary, and to get what I'm really worth," says Matt. "But he also mentioned that like, no matter how much I make, it doesn't matter as long I live below that, and learn how to budget, and really control for the things that I have."
