The Big Myth About Female Breadwinners

Money hosted a panel session at the 2015 Financial Planning Association conference in Boston to address the question: Do men and women need different approaches for handling their money?

"There's a lot of media stories about breadwinner women and how emasculated it makes men feel...and what we found in our research is exactly the opposite," said Money editor Diane Harris. "The more women contributed to household income, the happier men got."

Harris had been asked what kind of effect it had on a relationship if the wife earned more than her husband.
