These Are the Best Deals and Sales for July 4 Weekend
In between barbecues, the beach, and fireworks over Fourth of July weekend, you may want to squeeze in some time for restaurants and shopping.
Marketers can't let any holiday sneak by without rolling out all sorts of freebies and special deals to celebrate, and Independence Day is no exception. Our roundup is focused mostly on freebies and super-cheap promotions offered around the July 4 holidays, plus some big sales with discounts of 50% or more.
Ann Taylor: Everything in the store is 50% off now through July 3. Use the promotional code JUSTBEACHY at checkout to get the discount for online orders.
Applebee's: Texas Applebee's locations only are offering a month's worth of margarita specials. The deal kicks off July 1 with margaritas for just 50¢, and the price goes up to $1 per margarita (or "DollaRita") for the rest of the month.
Fogo de Chao: Mention the code FOGO4TH when making a reservation at this Brazilian steakhouse chain for July 1 to July 4, and all children ages 12 and under dine for free with the purchase of an adult meal.
Forever 21: Use the code BOGOFREE! at online checkout now through July 4, and sale items are available on a buy one, get one free basis, now through July 4.
H&M: A Fourth of July sale that's on right now offers T-shirts, women's tops, cushion covers, baseball caps, and sunglasses for as little as $4. In many cases, that represents a discount of 60% off normal prices of $10 to $13.
Hungry Howie's: Use the code JULY4 when placing an online order anytime from July 1 through July 4, and you'll get a medium one-topping pizza for just 4¢ with the purchase of a large one-topping pizza at regular price.
Kmart: Buy any pair of sandals, flip-flops, or other beach shoes now through July 8, and you can get a second pair for only $1.
Lane Bryant: The women's apparel retailer has a buy one, get one free sale on shorts, crops, and capris, among other discounts.
Old Navy: The entire store is on sale now through July 5, including the return of Old Navy's"Incredible $8 Dress" deal, with many dresses that normally sell for $27 marked down to $8. Supplies are limited.
Omaha Steaks: There are plenty of last-minute deals, like the Last-Minute Fourth of July Feast, which includes burgers, franks, sausages, potato salad and more for $169 (normally $269), and most orders qualify for free expedited shipping.
PDQ: This offer is not for July 4 but for a made-up food holiday a couple of days later. The fast-casual restaurant chain PDQ (People Dedicated to Quality) is celebrating something called National Fried Chicken Day on July 6 by offering customers a free platter of chicken tenders or nuggets with the purchase of another platter at regular price.
Red Robin: Buy a Red Robin restaurant gift card worth $25 or more and you'll get a free ticket to the new movie War for the Planet of the Apes, which is in theaters starting July 14.
Starbucks: From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. daily now through Sunday, July 2, Starbucks has buy one, get one free iced espressos.
Theme Parks & Attractions: Sites like Military.com list all of the places veterans and active-duty military get free admission over the July 4 weekend. Show military ID and you (and sometimes your entire family) get in free at major attractions such as Kings Island, the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, the Minnesota Zoo, and some Six Flags theme parks.
