Northeastern University

Northeastern University emphasizes work experience and experiential learning, with 96% of undergraduates completing at least one cooperative education internship, also known as a co-op, during their college years. With co-ops, students integrate classroom experience with periods of full-time employment with various startups, nongovernmental organizations and research institutions. Both undergraduate and graduate students pursue research, with many presenting projects at the annual Research, Innovation and Scholarship Expo. Northeastern offers over 190 majors, with unique programs in game development, landscape architecture and more. NU students tend to have great outcomes, with over 93% finding employment or enrolling in graduate school within 9 months of graduating, according to the university. But students know how to enjoy themselves, too. Northeastern's Huskies compete in the NCAA Division I Colonial Athletic Conference. The school also boasts nearly 500 clubs and organizations, including an Indonesian Student Association, a craft club and a student-run record label. Northeastern students also enjoy easy access to Boston, where the school has its own stop on the subway system known as the T.
