The majority of the student body at this private university are older adults, and flexible, online courses are the school’s bread-and-butter.
Still, Bellevue endeavors to provide a more stereotypical undergraduate experience for its students who are fresh out of high school and attend in-person courses. It started offering on-campus housing about a decade ago and as of this writing, the school fields 14 varsity sports teams. (The Bruins are especially competitive in baseball, with several conference championships and National Associate of Intercollegiate Athletics World Series appearances over the past three decades.)
Bellevue offers more than 80 academic programs. Business is by far the largest bachelor’s degree program, but cybersecurity and healthcare administration are popular, too. The university scores well on Money’s value-added metrics: Its graduation rate is about 15% higher than expected based on the student body profile, and typical alumni salaries after leaving school are slightly higher than expected, too.
